Story Time

by Tim Mauntler   Jun 18, 2013

Friendship through blood
With intensity that blazed
Though masks were worn
With motives hazed

He scribbled his truths
Through letters passed
Resulting in a mistake
That would be his last

Holding nothing back
But the words to confirm
He loved her for her
Relieved of concerns

An hour glass filled
With endless sand
Their paths crossed often
He couldn't keep her hand

To this day
She need only hint
He'd give up everything
To hold her again
