Time wears down the hardest of souls,
Beckons warriors to fall on the swords,
Turns youth grey and wiser still,
Takes life and health and leaves some ill,
Yes, time, the most powerful thing of all,
The thing that no one can control,
Is the very thing that keeps us sain,
To know not everything is in our rein,
That we will never have the power,
To take back the unforgiving hour,
We know that no matter how hard we try,
Time will keep on ticking by,
If we had control what would we do?
Sell to those richer,
Take from those who have few,
Something IMPOSSIBLE to screw up,
Only possible to waste,
Somehow gives peace of mind,
And the time keeps passing by.
