Summer day

A spring in my step
a flower in my hair
i can finally smile
without a care

days dread on
but aren't so slow
i feel a comfort
the true feelings show

a genuine glow
a tune off my lips
with a pop in my hand
i slowly take sips

its been awhile
life falls into place
as I skip around
with a smile on my face
