I Need You

Small smiles grant me a soothing touch throughout the long day,
Easing the heaving of a chest, slowing into a light, effortless rhythm
Leaving a soft caress upon a tear stained cheek
The faint beat of a heart echoing for a reason.

Darling rays of seldom moonlight wash over porcelain skin
Illuminating scars kissed by a love so special and beautiful
One so dear that the thought of another never passes through a dormant mind
The gift of a heart given by an angel indisputable.

Sweet dreams of a life spent with such an amazing girl
Flood my days, bringing eyes to the brink of tears
Leaving little marks on a battered heart that shine brighter
Than the sun glinting off the clearest of waters.

Silk ribbons wrapped around a bottle of delicately mixed passion, care, and love
Shared glass by glass, day after day,
Leaving this hold the angel has secure and strong
Making lips tilt upward without words to say.

Arms yearn to hold such a fragile and lovely person
Lips wish to whisper of the love this heart possesses
Cheeks blush with anticipation of a future together
Only a taste of what the soul wishes to express.

On a card in front of your life's plate,
Lies a note written in old English
Small and intricate knots and designs fashioned on each letter
From my pen; it will always say "I love and need you."

    This one I love as it is so heartfelt.

    Wow. I loved how you compaired smiles to a touch. It really can have the same effect on it. As this smile calmed you down and made your heart flutter normally. There is always a reason for a heart to beat. Wether its bad or good. I loved the vivid imagery of this as the smile kisses your cheek. The vocabulary is great on the second stanza. And you can feel the love of it. The tender kiss of the moonlight and the angel together is perfect. I love the wording as it never passed through your mind. Love new experience!

    Its always great to find the one you truly love as you spend days thinking about their love. I love the tears of joy as it is not used much in poetry it was a nice touch.
    I love how they heal your hurt heart as well it is great when you feel good again. The sun reflecting of clear waters wow. Beautiful! I love how you share glasses with each other. That was wonderful wording there. It really does take two to share love!

    Its great when you want to hold each other close forever and an angel is beautiful. I wish you would describe the angel more though. That is my one flaw. I love the old english feel though with the note. Its unique because not a lot of people do that any more. Its very romantic in my opinion. Overall great! 5
