Tears Of A Clown

by DarkKnight   Jul 23, 2013

People say that lifes a Circus
and in lifes ring I play, the fool
the Clown with painted smile
hiding my pain away.

Deftly juggling my inner
qualms all dexterity and
flailing arms, a greaspaint
smile to fool the crowd
crying inside while laughing
out loud.

But when the show comes to
a close I sit alone in the park
tear stained paint running down
my face as I cry into the dark.
