Mothers suffcating wings

I feel my wings slowly spread
As i learn and ready to take flight
To come out if mother nest
And make my own dreams happen
To have my life finally begin
Ive been smotherd under mother wing
All theses years
Wanting so bad to break free
And now i feel the time near
I know i have nothing to fear
Cause i know in my heart and soul
I'm ready to break free
From under mothers suffocating wings .

    I like this piece in all it's honesty. Sometimes we as mothers, smother... I am guilty of this as well.
