Sublime?

by Cedar Bulge   Aug 1, 2013

Internal Dialogue -the auditory conversation within.
Part of your quiet sub-conscience convincing you - No you can't,
The doubt that rumbles, self critical, deep within your psyche,
Making itself at home and muttering subliminally while you're doing the dishes,
The longer it stays, the more weight it gains,
Like a Aunt that overstays her welcome,
You become persuaded,
without understanding exactly how,
it chants then develops into a Mantra.
I have no money, I can't do that, I'm not good enough - it whispers.
It slowly convinces you to allow it to flee,
and soon it easily reels off your tongue.
Out in the open air it is heard,
Let us grant that wish -the universe breathes,
The universe doesn't decipher,
It trusts in you and your thoughts,
It bestows what it believes is your desire,
The universe faithfully fulfills it's quest.
Be so careful of that self sabotaging mutter!
