I know you see, that I fight and I fight.
I resist the urge, daily, to revert to type.
So why, oh why, please tell me, can I never be right?

I'll admit to you now, It's gone on for too long.
This feeling, buried deep inside, of always being wrong.
Am I better here, or would I be better gone?
For my children alone, I vow to hold on.

I feel like a shadow, cast away in the dark.
I found that thing, that they state is a heart.
The question is now, to death do us part,
or is my life on a wheel-less cart?

Sometimes I get angry, most times far too much.
The targets I reach for, always out of touch.
How to fight the world, and it's clutch?

~~ FUTURE ~~

So today I ask, what direction, what path?
If I make the wrong choice, will it be the last?
How can I escape, this troublesome past?

~~ UNLESS ~~

I will fight from all corners,
until I have no breath left,
Till the world takes me over,
and I have no beat in my chest.

~~ I ~~

I will fight my demons,
confront my fears,
Deeply cut wounds,
I have held for years.

~~ SUCCEED ~~

So as I hold back the tears,
With the power of a wier,
Just know that I'll stay fighting,
for as long as you're near.
