The Game

by Peter   Aug 11, 2013

I play a game of tainted lies,
That twists and turns my enemies eyes,
With much trickery and deceit,
I play mind games like a cheat.
The man does not see it coming,
Until I'm done and happily humming.
My tune of victory my tune of success,
The tune who's meaning no one can guess.
Not even I know why I play,
It happened once and now it must stay.
One by one they come tumbling down,
Into my web where they may drown.
The game is vicious the game is vile,
And I play it with much style.

Its intricate at best,
Until I win I do not rest.
I was taken back a second,
When a fellow challenger beckoned.
He played the game as well as I,
For I could not trap him in my sty.
This set furry to my nights,
For I would never loose these fights.

Have I met my match?
Or will he break and soon dispatch.
