Before camp I didn't have
A lot of friends
At least not ones
That would stick with me
Till the end

I didn't know
That my crazy weirdness
Would make you notice me
I was just being myself
I guess you like who I really am

Shouting 'Shmebs' at the fire
Sitting beside you
Is this what friendship is?
That warm feeling
Almost like you fit in

Then today
You said you had a dream
About me, granted
It was silly
A dirty sock, I'm a free elf!

Isn't it nice to have friends?
To feel welcomed, accepted, even
Thanks for liking the real me
You really made a difference
Now I really wanna follow rule 3

----------------------------------------------------------
I wrote this at AuthorQuest camp for serious young writers. It's dedicated to one of my new friends, Isaac. If your wondering about the last line, rule 3 is DON'T DIE! So, just let me know what you guys think.
