Only Ones Dancing

by Daylight Lucidity   Aug 27, 2013

A chance to escape
With your glass heart agape
A chance to change
From the others you've been estranged
Now that we're the only ones dancing,
We can familiarize ourselves with this romancing.
The rain starts to pour down
Upon the gazebo's floor,
The others have left to find shelter
Yet we continue to sway to thriving sounds.
In my arms you breathe easily,
In your embrace I rest gently,
The moon shines through the storm
While we stand together, shrouded in warmth.
You gaze into my eyes
And what do you see?
An opportunity to run away,
Hearts open and free.
The stars sparkle,
As the waning moon glints;
Throughout the beautiful storm,
We continue as
The only ones dancing.
