My Sunrise

by ElegantRose   Sep 1, 2013

Those big baby blues in the morning,
Are better than any sunrise.
The smile that crosses your lips,
Could melt the hardest of hearts.

Your touch so soft, so gentle,
When you grab onto my finger,
It's a sign of trust, a bond,
That has me so in love.

I watch you in sheer happiness,
Watch your innocence, so pure.
I wrap you up in comfort.
Protect you from the cold.

Your chubby pink cheeks are a sign,
Of a full belly, warm home.
I would go to the ends of the earth for you,
Take on the whole world.

Cause you're the centre of my universe,
The stars in the night sky,
The melody in the background,
My hope in my darkest hour.

You're my heart, my everything,
My baby, darling boy.
You're my forever,
My light, my home.

So may our song carry on,
It's you and I, mother and son.
