Lighthouse

by Erick Neal   Sep 10, 2013

You feel so lost and don't know where to go.
It feels like you are being tossed around.
Spinning out of control.
Afraid your heart is stormbound.

I want to be the light that guides you home.
Standing strong during storms bearing down.
Reminding you that you'll never be alone.
Let me be your lighthouse.

You're being pulled in and don't know what to do.
The waves keep pushing you towards the unknown.
So you search for something to hold onto,
but you're afraid you'll never be found.

I want to show you that there is a way.
Leading you to another route.
Helping you to find a safer place.
Let me be your lighthouse.

Its been a hard, long journey.
Seems the doubt is overwhelming.
Afraid your heart will be torn by the coral reef.
So you look out for some kind of dwelling.

I want to keep you from crashing into the beach.
Be a constant symbol of what hope is about.
Remaining solid as the rocks beneath.
Let me be your lighthouse.
