A moment in time

by Lorrentia   Sep 14, 2013

Strings of lights cross an eastern
shore,
twinkling in the ribbon of ocean and
sky...
A mother walking near her window,
curls amongst cushions and watches...
softly dancing silver,
a midnight sea flicks away moonlight...
casting off dark and welcoming day...
A red sliver separates water and air;
sky pastel hues,sea,deepest blues...
moving colours wash the sky with
blue,mauve and pink.
Thousands of miles westward
her daughter, holding her breath...
presses the camera shutter gentle,
the sunset filling her soul...
This is a moment they're both feeling
wonder,
quietly united in thought, space and
time...
