The dead leaf

by insane authority   Jul 3, 2004

(GEE GUYS don't be afraid to vote!/comment , i would appreciate it much! )

Green it was, now a brown.
Wasted till the end, it burns away with the air
Cold and dry
That's how it is
Left astray
It went away
Left its clan
To kill its soul

A choice wasn't given out
But Mother Nature called
The time yearned
It was time to let go
For the season had adjourned
And the wind began to flow
Whispering to it ‘time to let go '

The leaf it soaked
Becoming wearier it began to evoke.
Loosing strength to keep the bond
How it wished instead it were a frond.

The tree, helpless gave a sigh
Only good it could do was say a final goodbye
Then watch its green all drift away
Until all were gone and to start the decay

Falling gently it floated towards land
With the rest, it did not understand
Why once it swag freshly in the air
But now nearly dead everything seems unfair.

Towards the end of its life
It finally strikes to its mind
That life is a handful of different feasts
But while alive everything was taken in the least
Life beautiful
Life delightful

Why hadn't it realized before?
That life is a precious gift to adore.
For once is the only amount we are given to live
And yet we take it for granted and never bother to revive
Ones life can never be replanted, and if taken,
There's no returning to life.
