Hope

by WritingtheStars   Sep 28, 2013

Crying her eyes out,
the girl in the ripped dress
has given up on hope
and happiness.

She believes that nobody truly
cares for her.
That she is all alone
in this cruel world.

What she doesn't know,
is that hope is hiding
from her. She simply needs
to look around, and she'll see Hope.

The girl in the ripped dress
is much too distraught to think
about looking around, she'd rather
curl into a ball and cry.

Hope is watching her,
patiently waiting
for her to pull herself together
and look up.

Wearing her pure white dress,
Hope waits wanting to give
this poor girl reason to live,
wanting to save her.

The girl doesn't believe
she can be saved.
She's just waiting to be
taken away from this world.

Hope lets a single tear run down
her cheek. The poor girl in the
ripped dress doesn't see how
beautiful she is, inside and out.

But Hope will wait, she is sure
that the poor girl will eventually
look up and see reason
to live.

After all, Hope always says
that she's never broken,
just bent up a little bit.
Only she can repair herself.
