You Kill Me

by McKenzie Pratt   Oct 2, 2013

This life is so dull
So I'm asking you please
To go and take my razor
And cut behind my knees

For I cannot take another step
In the world of which I know
As the pool of red surrounds me
And I hear you scream Don't go

But in all reality, I was never here
The makeup hides the stitches
Where I was cut from ear to ear;
My eyes are dull and lifeless
As the fade from blue to grey
And the coffin that I lie in masks
The tears from yesterday

The note you found that morning
By me as I clutched my knife
Reminisces the last moments
That I had of my dear life:

'As you will find me
With my cuts and bruises soon enough,
I must tell you though, no matter what
You have to remain tough

Be here for our daughter.
She loves you oh so much
And dear, she needs her father,
Her mother, not so much'
