My goodbye

by alex cherneski   Oct 5, 2013

Waist my life away?
Listen to the words that I say,
All that thinking and thinking and thinking
Turns into nothing
Thoughts all in my head
"I did the one thing I use to dread"
Smile upon my face
Towards miracles grace
I hope I never have to see your face
To only see, brings my heart at it's disgrace
Pulling it back from the ash
You spread like the worst rash...
Pulling me in, only as an itch
Farther and farther you pulled me in the ditch
Clinging to my every word, only to spit it back at me
So now I can finally see..
Sending with a smile upon my mouth
I shall be no longer filled with such doubt
Memories may swim in the mind,
But memories to me, be kind.
