Was it Fate?

Some say it's by chance,
Some say it's by fate.
We believe fate is what led us.
That it led us to form a bond,
A strong bond that bore a promise.
That we would be brothers from that day forth.
Although we would go separate ways,
We would meet again somewhere new.
The will of a thousand flames,
The will of a thousand wolves,
Would we shatter?
Could we be broken?

The true question, however, is...
If fate had us meet, would it separate us as well?
