Slowly Dying

Slowly Dying

Sitting on my bedroom floor
Crying as if the world was over
But in my mind it was
I'm slowly dying
A reflection of me gazed back at me in my mirror
Everybody said I was beautiful
But was I?
I'm slowly dying
It's like having someone inside of you
Pounding on your ribcages
People must know the real you
I'm slowly dying
My body finds my bed
I feel the mattress hit my back
My body ached
It resisted
Wouldn't let my eyes close
No one will ever understand
I'm slowly dying
No one will miss me if I'm gone
My heart cries out for death
But my mind interferes with fear
I'm slowly dying
Not a wink of sleep in months
Not a proper meal in weeks
Dark circles under my eyes
I'm slowly dying
Everytime I close my eyes I think of suicide
But too me, if I commit suicide
It's not suicide
It would be murder
Murdered by my thoughts, opinions
Sick of people calling me emo
The way I dress represents how I feel
I'm slowly dying
My footsteps creak on the cold hardwood floor
The bathtub fills
Music fills my ears
My clothes soaked once in the bathtub
I'm slowly dying
Weight above my eyelids
My eyes close
I sink into the water
I am no longer dying
I am dead
