Mirror of life

by Karis Marie Byrd   Oct 21, 2013

You sit yourself on a chair and stare in the mirror.
Smile pretty and forget the flaws dear.
Look past the bags in your eyes from lack of sleep.
Look past the cuts that are ever so deep.
Forget the fact, everyone around you has left.
The people took your happiness like a theft.
Stop, forget, and smile.
Forget all the tears that hit the tile.
Finally see the true you.
Look in your eyes and look past what you want to do.
Brush your hair back behind your ear.
Also brush behind all your fears.
See the evil behind society and wash it away.
Maybe that will be the day.
The day you find true beauty in yourself.
Put away all the entities and demons of life on a shelf.
Then you may say you are truly happy with life itself.
