SHATTERED

by blindlover   Aug 10, 2013

How could the moon have been so radiant when the night was growing cold?
I fall into the lap of the devil, praying that he will be merciful on my soul.
I disappear into the darkness, lying lifeless and lost in the blur.
My innocence cascading over him, and my spirit eternally inflamed.
Secreting the memories in secrecy, tormented by every touch.
He finds me feeling vulnerable and plans his surprise attack.
I hear the loud beating against my chest, and see the lighting strike my mind.
The storm has just began to start as my tears sprinkle my face.
I cry to The Lord, "Please help me forget, just take the pain away!"
Silence becomes my enemy and the option is to ignore the memory I once chased away.
I lie lifeless once again, the beating has shattered my heart.
