Sea Bound Lovers

by Forever Hers   Oct 26, 2013

Frigid gusts of wind dance all around,
Capturing smiles and wrapping them
In a cold embrace without a sound
As the boat jumps over darkened waves
With night's rapid approach.

The shore riding along the sunset
On the distant horizon; faint blinks
Of champagne glasses ring in a successful attempt
To sneak romance into such a lovely evening
As soft, timid eyes illuminate with the rising moon.

The boat's roar fades as it settles
And is lightly rocked by small waves licking the sides,
A calm and secluded place enhanced by the motor's rattle
Perfect for a quiet date upon the ocean
For two sea bound lovers.

While the night grows deeper and the moon grows higher,
Stars blanket the dark sky, winking down at them
As each begin slowly tire
The waves cease to slosh, as if message sent,
Allowing a peaceful, uninterrupted slumber.

The man in the moon turns to face them with a smile,
Encouraging their ever blooming love
This trip out to sea one of many nudges toasted forever
And of these trips, they shall never get enough;
Destined for eternity are these sea bound lovers.
