The Distance

by Humble Logik   Nov 19, 2013

11/17/13
I cried before leaving town.

Funny thing is, it rained to..

A new beginning felt like the end.

My lost brother.

Nothing should've keep us apart.

We always lose our way.

Wandering separate roads, that lead us astray.

I'm headed for coral reefs and glowing sands.

Your back at home without a helping hand.

Probably empty inside.

Not giving a damn.

I should understand, still.

Does everything we ever did stay relevant?

Are you gonna visit Tokyo soon?

Our goals have become more realistic.

Childhood promises inevitably fade away.

But ill be damned if I let go!

There's something so gorgeous about this struggle.

About wishing upon stars in a Gonzales night sky,

Living inside our combined collective adventures.

Nothing compares bro.

I miss it, like an offspring misses memories of birth.

Soon, soon....I'll be there.

Gaining distance on your memory.

As it disappears into thin air.
