Rain

by Burningdaisy13   Nov 28, 2013

On the edge of a cliff, I stand.
Arms spread out, wind in hair.
The bright sun shines down on me, the clear blue sky takes over my world.
Pain and tears grow within.
An urge to jump comes to my mind.
I scream: My life is meaningless and I'm all alone!!!
Inch by inch, foot by foot.
My feet guide me to where I need to go.
I'm about to leap to my fate, when a tingle of liquid hits my face...
More and more come down upon my head.
Looking up I see, my sky and my sun are gone.
All around me, rain pours down on the land.
It makes me think that god is sad to see me go.
I collapse in a bound, realizing that my life is not meaningless.
I jump up and walk away from the cliff, thanking the rain for saving my life.
