Take My Advice

by phantasticstarkid   Dec 17, 2013

You start off with a blank canvas
Then you add a silver blade
The end result is thin red lines
That never fully fade.

You can go as long as you like without it
The urge will never subside
And often you'll find yourself wishing
That once you would have died.

It's not that you're suicidal
Or even that you're sad
But once you've started cutting
Everything is bad.

It's not something you can just give up
Whenever you decide you're through
Cutting is an addiction
And it will take over you.

So listen friends, put down that knife
And walk far, far away
Cause nine years ago, I picked one up
And I regret it to this day.
