Social Courage

by Jeff Weiner   Jan 16, 2014

He saw her step out of the car
His heart warming at her sight,
Who was this beautiful woman
And the reason he smiled tonight,

How would he approach her
Fearing the usual rejection,
Would he just walk past
Keeping distance as protection,

He took a chance with conversation
Hoping to gain her interest,
Wondering if he was good enough
Would he pass her test,

This was the time to shed the fear
But was he worthy of the company,
This is where a man stands up
To find out what will be,

Trust in fate and destiny
Will bring me to my place,
Life will hand me challenges
Acceptance will keep a smile on my face

If we want something bad enough we need to go after. We have to be willing to take a chance, risk, but also be prepared to be rejected. That should not bring us down and like you said it so nice, leave a smile on our face
