A beautiful sombre opening which many of us can relate to. Yes, guilt often comes too late usually when a person is already broken.

Sorrow stays in shadows
Happiness, there's not enough
Hate comes out most
Making me appear tough

I agree there is not enough happiness in this world because it's full of hatred towards each other. Again very relatable.

A shattered heart at my core
Bleeding inside
Life seems meaningless
I guess I've already died

Wow a very emotional ending. I suppose once we are broken it's hard for life to mean anything but it does and we just need to pull ourselves back up.
