Mummbled Text

by joseph santacruz   Feb 23, 2014

I hate dry authors with their fifty cent words
smeared on the pages like a collection of turds
almost as if there typewriter mumbles
my comprehension is better reading word jumbles
Is it to mask their writing unskill?
myself I would rather read a large bill
unimpressive words should be kept to ones self
or unread manuscripts collect dust on the shelf
remebered words by some forgotten mister
on my brain they are as a blister
critics yell genius! and money!
whever the authors from they sure talk funny
thee haveth no want of ye olde english speak
I speak american and this is all greek
perhaps im one of those folks so simple
who find rare words as useful as a pimple
If these authors spoke as they read
a failure to communicate indeed
(your attemt to impress their is no need)
Your unreadable gobbledy gook leaves me so frustrated
makes me consider wordless books illustrated
their old english is so overated
its like their works must be translated
Instead of their prose being smooth as satin
I feel like im reading a book in pig latin
published in tongues for foreign folks
like a book of punch lines without any jokes
trendy best seller with much nothing to say
no one understands this gibberish anyway
attempting my vocabulary put to the test
yawning i quickly lose intrest
misgided attempt to impress unfurls
what ever he is penning its out of this world
difficult words the author may hoard
sound like someones screeching nails on a chalk board
like a scrambled code used by the C.I.A
no body understands anyway
I now grasp why some literature P.H.D.
to unravel these unusual words that here be
so stuffy authors please clarify
your work is like a fistfull of sand to my eye
or are you a confusing intentional predator?
I wonder where in the hell is your editor?
