New Sun

by PiggyPie   Mar 4, 2014

The new sun rose alright, but it cast shadows of its own.
The shadows that refused to depart; only shifted shape.
The sky clouded yet again, sun obscured, silver linings erased.
Thunder, lightning - a furious storm broke out.
Raging winds howled, lamenting their anguish to those who listened.
Then, suddenly, it was calm, silent.
A tantrum of the soul.
Tranquility had been restored; the sun peeked out once again.
Shining of brazen boldness.
Time swept all ahead.
I remained anchored, stuck, lost.
