For My Distant Dream Boy

by Miyaki Zhen   Mar 7, 2014

I can still recall that moment when we met
That was on a Friday and the sun already set
I was sitting on a bench on the second row
Then you passed by me and smiled while saying hello

Minutes later you were standing just in front of me
And I was listening to you attentively
The way you speak with vigor, I can't look away
Seems that I'm afraid to miss a single word you say

Then we meet again, the morning after that
You were in the middle of the crowd wearing black
I passed by you and smiled, then you did replied
The joy I felt in my chest can never be denied

Almost a week has passed without me seeing you
And when Friday came again, my prayer had come true
Not expecting that again, I would see your face
You're not my crush but my heart beats as if in race

I was hoping that the next day we'll still meet
But it never happened so I decided to submit
Maybe it is best not to hope for anything
If we're destined to be then no use for hurrying

A day passed without me thinking you anymore
Spending my time browsing my notes every hour
When I paused and ceased, I closed my eyes and slept
Into my silent mind, there you climbed and crept

Your face is more radiant than what I've seen before
I don't know but in my dream you're someone I adore
You held my hand and looked intently to me eyes
While saying that you're happy to meet me more than twice

You went away and left, but came suddenly
While handling me a rose you asked, "Can you dance with me?"
My heart jumped in my chest, while other girls stare
Their looks show they're envious but I don't simply care

You led me to the dance floor while still holding me
And I also never dared to let go instantly
I want to make that moment last a little longer
If only I could spend my life with you forever

When I woke up from that dream, I can't find my voice
I just stared blankly at the ceiling and rejoiced
Though I can't understand that dream I had with you
I am still willing to make that dream come true
