I Will Miss You

by Miyaki Zhen   Mar 7, 2014

I stare at the horizon in front of me
I have been thinking of you recently
As I close my eyes, thoughts flowed out
Nobody could tell what I'm thinking about

When I ponder on how far you once were
And how that now, you are near
I can't help myself not to believe
That you're a gift I'm about to receive

We talked and exchanged glances and smiles
I felt new feelings and see new designs
Each day I hold on and hope and pray
That there will be "US", just someday

But as I hold on much more stronger
Seems that fate tells me to wait much longer
For you told me that you will be leaving
And still don't know if you'd still be returning

Though I may smile, but I can't deny
That deep down within, I want to cry
I still entrust to God my everything
But I'll really miss you, that's one sure thing

This got me thinking about many scenarios, a mother waiting for a child that will never be, a lover loosing love, or death itself-the countdown of a life. Or simply the missing of a dearly loved person...either way its touching. The smoothness of this read gives it a slow feeling to soak everything including the sadness...take care.
