Bright One (song)

by Maher   Mar 9, 2014

Dear Sun,
I remember the day I'd seen your light.
No one born in this ether
could share your sacrifice.
Burn on.
Don't keep me waiting to hold my head up high.
Though some shield their eyes from you,
I say, they all are blind.

Whisper to me your kindest words,
render me paralysed
I'll take the burden from your name,
even if it burns my eyes

Dear Star,
send me to heaven to find what I have lost.
Thus far, she stands before me,
but I mame with every touch.
So hard to keep my sanity
when my place is set so far.
Die hard.
Singe the sky to tears if at this dance we come to part.

Come away with me, fill this void,
we've no orbit, we can run
We'll chase the dreams that pulled away,
lay to watch them one by one

I wish that I could fly so far
to rest in the shadow of my star.
It seems a lifetime I will wait
to have her held here in my arms

Don't learn from me or lie in wait
until the bright one is the sun.
