See how you deal with the prospect, of vanishing.

by PorcelainMoon   Mar 17, 2014

Sleeping and dreaming, dreaming of sleep. Biting my tongue never tasted this sweet, make this moment non-fictional
Go the whole way, and see how you deal with the prospect, of vanishing. Of all your efforts, and all of your achievements, more things. Turning into dust...

Love is not a word for consolidation, but a draining of the self. When all the noise resides, you will find yourself alone. Hairless monkeys cursed with self awareness. Unending depravity, a thirst for happiness. A quest only accomplished by self delusion.

Euphoric highs followed by crippling lows. When it rains it is raining, even if you tell yourself it's isn't raining the rain still falls. But we know the sun will come out. That's the difference between the weather and our emotions, when you're down you truly believe the sun will never rise.

But when I looked into your eyes I saw the world, the world looked back at me. That is what is hurting me the most.

Your poems are amazing, I love the logical perspective you approach the subject matter with. With alot of poems like this people would come across as cynical, in this I find more of a sad realism, and I think that really calls to the reader. Great work, keep it up. :)
