A Funny Thing

by Chris Swiderski   Mar 24, 2014

A funny thing it is to see
Myself, adrift upon a virtual sea
This flowing, growing place for thought
I'd believed my time was all for not

But, sure as the sun
Will crown all the skies
I've arrived, in my tongue
To a place I, may be I

For I am me
It's all that I could amount to
Whatever I may be
If just another voice to surround you

So I'll speak it softly
As not to offend
But, to build you up lofty
For you, are my friends

I've kept names and numbers
of none that I've known
For my past behind, crumbles
Future, not set in stone

Though, I look ever forward
Each day and all night
Setting not boundaries, nor borders
This funny thing feels alright
