Bountiful Reaping

by Chris Swiderski   Mar 28, 2014

Seeing to this sprout
With tender, loving care
Pouring droplets down
To help the budling fair

From humble seed
I've watched you grow
Within soil laid
Your sibling in tow

When first you broke
And you did spread
I was then blind
Till I saw your head

Such beauty found
A wondrous sight
When from the ground
You reached the light

You've made me proud
All that you are
May your roots hold fast
And travel far

Keep reaching high
My beloved seed
Stay in the light
I'll mind the weeds

May long you live
And tall you grow
I am so grateful
For what I've sown
