Lost souls

It's incredible what goes through people's minds,
They may put on a mask to make them seem kind.
They make you believe that everything is fine and nothing is wrong,
But truly in their heart they sing a pitiful, depressed song.

There is one girl, who acts like she doesn't care of love,
But she really believes it's the things she's done.
She thinks that no one loves her because she's unlovable,
To her, her dream of love seems impossible.

Yet she still dreams of him,
Her one soul mate who will love her for what's within.
She hopes she will find the one who she truly can count on,
The promises to the shining , warm sun and to mom.
That girl is so desperate for love just as many young girls are,
She forgets who she really is and how far.....
How far will she change herself just to be cared for?
How far will she go for who she thought was right,
When will the person who will love her for her come into sight?

In the end this is true for most girls and maybe some boys to,
They do anything to keep the people who seem to care but have no clue.
Hopefully these desperate souls find their way home,
Back to being themselves and back to not feeling so alone.

I hope to those who read this if you are in the same problem,
Remember the people who were lost in the lies, remember them.
Remember that you don't have to change for people,
Don't let yourself cripple.

Remember that when you lose youself like they did,
Remember they were as lost as a little kid.
There are two pairs of sprits you can become part of,
You can become part of the spirits of happiness and love.

Or you can completely lose yourself and become cold,
Become a part of the spirits of those lost souls.
The souls who never are happy or as bright as gold,
Because they lose themselves and become lost souls.

Wow I love the flow and the heart of this poem it's truly beautifully well written and it didn't seem forced which is nice when making a poem that's flowing 5/5
