In The Bedroom, Inside My Head

by Stargirl   Apr 19, 2014

On mellow nights after busy days
Waves of thoughts start to form
Like beaming tides forcing itself
To penetrate my mind
I try to clasp the pen in my hand
And fix my Moleskine on my desk
I lose inspiration
Then I saw
The subtleness of the yellow lamp
That reminds me of the reflection
Of Toronto city lights in your eyes
On the winter night
We drove around
When I needed you
When I needed to
Diffuse my stress after a long day
I longed for saving
I saw Coldplay's Parachutes album
On my bedside
I started to remember
The wistful moment we danced to Sparks
Still etched in the back of my mind
Our hands clasped together
Our souls intertwined
Then I saw the clock
I found it very terrifying
How memories of you
Slowly become hazier
As time goes by
I've been reminded by the fact
That it's been so long
Since you're gone
And only the hands of time
Will tell whether I'll see you
And perchance you'll remind me
And restore these foggy memories
