I don't regret our friendship

We had a good run
I don't regret meeting you or our friendship
I just hate the fact that new people got in the way
I wish you knew what was going on
I'm dying and I can't tell you
I ignored you like you ignored me
You don't know why I ignore you, but neither did I
I hope you enjoy your new friends cause I won't be around
You don't know all the things that have happened
Like I might be going into chemo soon
I can't tell you I got stitches or that everything is falling apart
I guess you have your own problems
I don't regret our friendship
I do regret not telling you how I felt
Instead I ignored you without telling you why
I guess things happen for a reason
Soon I won't be in school and you'll wonder why
I'll probably be in the hospital in my dying hour and you'll be at school with your new friends
