Every Family Is Like A Tree.......
because we stand alone
like trees, all in one forest, but never truly together
we only accept the love from from the trusted few
we only entwine our branches with the ones we love
we are like trees, we are very sturdy, but even the strongest can be brought to its knees

we are like trees, our roots may be strong but they can still burn away at betrayal
trees are older than time itself, they have lived through bloodshed, war, death, and their most lethal enemy......Man.
we are like trees, we have ambitions, for us it is the best we can be, for them is to reach for the stars

even if a branch falls more will grow back with love
the mightiest of us can be cut down, and turned into something we're not
we are like them in so many ways, yet we kill them just so we can read and write
cant we find some other way to read, to write, to create, because trees are part of our family.

because our family branches out and blossoms like a flower
we are like trees our roots go a long ways back
past the time of dinosaurs, and into the stars
if you look upon your family tree in the deepest root you will find a star

trees feed on sunlight and warmth, while we feed on a trees fruit and food
we drink the sap from its trunk, and trees feed on the rain
