    Haha, I remember this one. I enjoyed the twist at the end. It makes one wonder, if the author was actually being literal or sarcastic... as to who was the clown?

    On this line:

    People yelling beware.

    ^ I think it may sound smoother if it was "people were yelling beware"

    I'm glad you finally posted it.

    Hahah...and to think the circus brings a smile to children but in this case fear brings the circus itself down! Enjoyed the read :)

    Yes it happens some children scars Clowns, lions, and etc, when they start crying and running it become panic for parents.

    How nice is it to see a special event poem nominated? This could also sit proudly in the humorous section. It is very cleverly crafted and the narrative is exceptional. I think many suffering from Coulrophibia could sympathise with the child in this piece. Nice rhyming scheme and description throughout. I thought the ending worked very well and finished the piece off nicely. Worthy of 4 points.
