Rose Marie Lawson

by Dominique Lewis   May 29, 2014

Baby girl wrapped in a fuzzy pink blanket born years ago,
But her step-grandfather told mommy that she died when born,
Little Rose was alive and healthy but her mother didn't know,
Poor young girl heard the news of losing her firstborn.

Years went by without mum knowing the truth,
One cold day she received a call telling her that Rose got hurt in a wreck,
She cried remembering what she thought she lost during her youth,
The doctors called asking for money on a check.

Money was sent of course but her mom was too late,
Her daughter has taken her absolute last breath,
Putting her mom once again into an emotional state,
Mommy thinks to herself "Thank God she didn't have a painful death."

Doctors tell her she can have the money back,
But she tells them to keep it and that they better save someone else's kid,
So they won't end up having a heart with a huge crack,
So they won't lose someone so precious like she did.
