Mess up

by ~!~TY~!~   Jul 5, 2004

We were once great friends,
two of the best,
but we split apart.
We still talk every now and then.
Still friends,
just not as close.
You do things to mess up,
and people start to hate you.
You say some stupid things,
and people start to wonder,
Is she worth the friendship?
Should I even care?
Sometimes I even wonder.
But, then, I go back to the note you gave me,
in the seventh grade.
It says:
I hope you'll be my best friend,
even if I mess up,
or say something stupid.
-
You mess up a lot,
and you say a lot of stupid things,
but I'm here to tell you.
I'll love you anyway.
I'll be your shoulder to cry on,
when people say they hate you.
I can be the one you vent on,
when you feel like screaming and then crying.
You can run to me,
when you need advice.
And when you doubt I love you,
or I won't be there,
remember,
I'll love you no matter what,
and I'll always be there,
even when you mess up.

**Please tell me what you think**
