I Can Never Be Sorry

by Abiodun Deborah   Jun 20, 2014

I can never be sorry
For today that will never last
I shall never worry
For He told me
I'm better than the birds
He showed me how higher
I'll be than their fly
And how wider
I'll be than their West;
He gives me breath longer
Than their days,

He tells me I am more
Wiser than
Their greatest;
He told me I have a better ~
Shelter
Than their nest
So, I'll be farther
Than their swiftest
Better
Than their best
Sweeter
Than their song sweetest;

He gives me meals sweeter
Than their grains,
Eyes sharper
Than theirs
Words smoother
Than the creaks
Of their beaks
And I can think more clever
Than they;

Then why should I ever
Think whether,
My weather ~
Is the hottest
Or the gloomiest?

Should I ever~
Be
Sorry for today
That shall soon sway
Away
Even to the thinnest~
Air?

Sad?
Nay
Sorrowful?
Nay
Happy?
Yay
Hopeful?
Yay,
Honored?
Sure
With Grace pure
For~
Glory knocks in;

I pledge never
To ever
Worry for each day
That be born
For it will soon be~
Yesterday
As every day to be born
Becomes today.
