Truths so Fragile

by xox0yc   Aug 29, 2014

The breeze of a late summer night treads
in through my window, hypocritically kissing my skin..

The night's fingertips deceivingly caress my face-
i open my eyes & find the moon's light embracing my gaze.

The silence is demanding & the still night chuckles at
my desperate attempts to seclude my thoughts.

I close my eyes & turn my back as to shame it. It whispers my name- softly, but vigorously, challenging my sanity.

I look back at the velvet sky & slowly turn to face it- it's beauty, too elegant to ignore.

I sigh, for once again the night has ripped away my peace- devouring my mind, mocking me for the secrets that I bear: truths so fragile, only eyes can hear.
