Mom growing older

by Austin   Sep 3, 2014

Yet another year has expired
with every passing year
you grow more and more tired.
As you are aging
you're watching your children grow
through summers heat and winters snow
through struggle and strife
through high and low.
Somehow you knew how to handle any scenario.
You've taught us life lessons
and given advice.
You've bailed us all out of trouble
once or twice.
You've made this life more enjoyable
for us all.
Your comforting words
made my biggest problems seem small.
You are my inspiration
My hero
My driving force.
You are my teacher
My mother
My friend
You are my beating hearts source.
