I walk a road of time

by Skyler   Sep 6, 2014

Swiftly sailing, over space
With unrelenting, tireless pace
As only time can carry on

Ignorant of complication
Undistracted, grim fixation
Ever forward into dawn

And though I walk with weary tread
And go wherever I am led
As I begin my homeward climb

My home-bound trek is not increasing
My steps shall carry on unceasing
For the road I walk is one of time

And though I cannot speed its passing
It pushes onward, everlasting
Where all roads end in your embrace

Please, love, know, I'm coming home
Wherever I am led to roam
Swiftly sailing, over space
