Worth

I loved you once
More than myself
That's what was wrong
With both of us

You loved you
I loved you
No one
Was loving me

You loved what I gave you
Did for you
Provided for you
But never me

That's why you violated me
Degraded me
Segregated yourself
Lied to everyone, including yourself

Now I am free
Free to be me
Love me
Appreciate me

To repair the cracks
The damage left behind
To light the darkness
I have been lost in for so long

I will apologize to myself
And set yours aside
It is my own approval
That I need to find

My own love
I must embrace
My own trust
I must regain

You will be but a memory
A lesson
What is learned by it all?
Just how much I'm worth
