Wonderland

by moon face   Oct 5, 2014

There is a moment
before
the first kiss
and after
the last sip
of red wine
where you have left me
stranded, somewhere,
between life
and something else
'cause it feels a bit as if
I am little lost Alice
and this is Wonderland.

This poem is so short, and yet quite fluent in stating a simple moment in time about that emotion of feeling lost within ourselves about love, or about someone else who we are taking a chance on.

The use of the Alice in wonderland was unique, and I like how you made it your own, and played around with the order of the words, and made yourself into the Alice, and the wonderland to be the title of the poem worked well too.

A poem many can relate to, and because of the shortness of the poem, it hits with an impact of thought instead of being over-filled with emotions and descriptions!

    Nice work.
