This Is Me

by Beautiful Chaos   Oct 12, 2014

Even if I could
And I can
I wouldn't stop hurting
It's just who I am
Who I've become
Who I masochisticly choose to be

The self loather
Creator, destroyer, the Messiah
God of my own life
Crooked, scarred and broken
The road lost to my own twisted nature
Paved with dust filled memories

My skin is made of emotion
Raw and untamed
Eyes and lips, drenched in truth
Soul of fire and vice
Heart and mind
A battleground for love and hate

Nice way to start a poem with a sizzling stanza! It just says to me that you like pain and I am smilling right now since I used to be that way to be honest I loved pain and I choose it it's just one of those dumb times where you wanted to stand out to anyone but this is very nice and it leads the reader to want to read more and also continues to connect to the whole poem as welll. Favorite stanza of all that I've ever read!

    The self loather

It descibes the person and how messed up and how they think they are thier own gods but it mostly describes who they are and they can't seem to find a way out of their misery because they choose not to and their lack of character nice middle stanza

My skin is made of emotion
    Raw and untamed
Eyes and lips, drenched in truth
    Soul of fire and vice
    Heart and mind
A battleground for love and hate

Ah you finally described how the person looks like it left me chills on my skin it truly did my favorite line in this stanza is the last line because we always battle our love for a person the hatred we feel for that same person it's complicated to even begin to explain but still truly perfectly made poem! 5/5
